Herbs for good Health.   Herbs contain many minerals, trace elements, healing properties and are a natural cure. 

Infusion - the pouring of boiling water over herbs and leave for a few minutes. For sage, mint and soft herbs, leave for 3 to 5 minutes and for tougher herbs like rosemary, infuse for 10 minutes.

Tinctures - mash herbs and soak in alcohol for two days, then strain through fine cloth and store in a jar.

Baths - soak herbs in hot water, but not boiling, for 5 minutes in an enamel or china container or in your bath. 

Daisy spray - dry, then grind flowers into a powder. Then mix with soapy water or alcohol and spray to deter pests in the house or on plants in the garden.

Potpouri - basil, rosemary, one bay leaf, nasturtium , marjoram, thyme, rose geranium and mints. Dry on cloth. Add appropriate fragrant oils.
